-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This software is freeware, copy it as you like, but do not change it in any way.

Latest Version:

Ver 0.41 8/Nov/1998
---------------------
Major Bugfix: fixed "encoder not found " message when encoder was in directory with a long filename.
Minor Bugfix : browse encoder location buttons where not disabled at encode time.

Ver 0.4 5/Nov/1998
--------------------
Major version update:
Added support for Quartex AAC encoder (Better Quality).
Quartex encoder supports 64,96,128 Kb/s encodes and 44.1Khz WAV files.
Checking other bitrates for it will default to 128Kb/s.
Added windows registry settings (last options and dir will be "remembered").
Added separate directories for both encoders supported.
Note:
The AAC Streams from Homeboy and Quartex encoders are not compatible with each other.
Use BitAAC to play Homeboy and KJofol (v4.01+) to play Quartex.
All software can be downloaded through www.mp3.com and most mp3/aac sites.
Both players support 128Kb/s AAC files and nothing else (as far as i know).

Support Note:
-------------
I got a lot of emails complaining that they get a message "Encoder Not Found".
If you get this message it means that AACENC.EXE is not in the right path (or does not exist at all).
This product is a frontend not the actual encoder, so pay attention :)

Ver 0.3 7/Sep/1998
--------------------
Added multiple selection to Add/Remove Buttons.
Added 'stop' button.

Ver 0.2 6/Sep/1998
---------------------
Different interface, several options added, should have fixed problem regarding missing DLLs.
The first version would work fine on PCs with Borland Delphi or C++ Builder 3.

Important Note:
---------------
AACENC.EXE crashes when i'm not using borland's DLLs, so they bundled with WinAAC.exe.
You can copy them to your windows directory (they will be useful in the future) or just keep them in the same directory as WinAAC.exe.
I'm trying to resolve this problem, but so far no luck.
Current version worked very well.

Ver 0.11 6/Sep/1998
---------------------
Fixed Enabling/Disabling Graphic controls while encode

Ver 0.1 5/Sep/1998
---------------------
This is the first release, so it's a little plain, but a new release will be out soon.

Installation:
-------------
Copy WinAac.exe to the directory of AacEnc.
If you do not have AacEnc you can download it from http://www.mp3.com - it's about 500k

How to use:
-----------
Very basic interface, explore your way to your WAV dir, select files using the -> >> <- keys or double click on a file to add or remove it (depends where you click).
Choose bitrate using the Bitrate ComboBox, default is 128Kb.
Choose AACENC priority using the Priority ComboBox, default is Normal. (RealTime is not recommended - can cause windows 95/98 to misbehave).
Press the Encode and wait for a long time.
The status bar tells which file is being encoded.
Destination dir is the same as the source in this version.
Files can be encoded from one dir at a time (no limit on file quantity).
